Meteorite Thin Sections    


We are happy to introduce our new offerings of meteorite and impactite thin sections! For those of you that have worked with thin sections before, you will be pleased with the quality of these specimens, and those of you unfamiliar will be introduced to an incredible view of these unearthly objects and the rocks they impacted!
 
An otherwise dull-appearing meteorite will look exquisitely beautiful in thin section, revealing complex mineral relationships, structure, and history. The impactites will show shock veins, shock deformation, and pressure/temperature metamorphism. All of our thin sections are professionally prepared on 45x25mm slides with cover slips, and each section is individually labelled as well!
